NICE-Stim Assessment
Service Description
NISE (Non-Invasive Spinal Electrical Stimulation) is a therapy developed in 2017 by Gerti Motavalli, PT, MPT, along with Dr. Gad Alon, PT, Ph.D. It uses safe electrical currents delivered through electrodes placed over the skin of the spinal cord and specific areas of the body to stimulate muscle movement, enhance neuromuscular coordination, and improve motor, sensory and autonomic functions. This assessment involves a full physiotherapy assessment plus testing using the non-invasive Chattanooga Continuum Electrical Stimulation machine. Electrodes will be placed on the skin over specific muscles and/or the spinal column and the parameters for best outcome will be determined during the assessment. Please contact Julie for more information.
